I belong to the world, yet I am (not) desirous of this world
I pass through the market, yet I am not a buyer

I am alive, yet I have no pleasure of life left
Every moment, I am in my senses, but I am nor sensible

I will go through my existence without any gains
I am but a shadow, not a carving on the wall

I am the flower that autumn has destroyed
Entangled in any skirt, a thorn I am not.
