I again recall those tearful eyes,
My complaining heart is brimming again
Hardly had the doom receded,
When the thought of your parting rose again
How bewildering the desolation!
Sight of the wilds reminds me of home
In boyhood, Asad, at Majnun's head,
I had aimed a stone, when I thought of my own.
